Bad Timing

4 days before the trip I was looking forward to for the pass 2 months, I got attacked by germ .. food poisoning, stomach flu, whatever you name it .. I literally lost almost all of my internal fluid within 2 days. What a good timing indeed ..

Was it stress? Or simply I ate something wrong that I didn't even notice? I really have no idea! I thought I've been living easy life this past week for the trip. Sigh sigh sigh!!!

I was lying in bed, thinking ... maybe I'll just skip the concert indeed if I didn't get better. Maybe I'll ask Ling to find whoever who wants to see the concert. But then again, I have to be optimist that I'll be better by Friday. Man, I paid quite a lot for the concert .. so please help me God, I'll get better by Friday ..

1 week to go .. I'll be celebrating MayDay's 10 Anniversary Concert in Singapore .. yay! Heard the news that the concert will go on 'till midnight with Stefanie Sun as the guest star. So looking forward for this .. YAY!!

G.I Joe - The Rise of the Cobra

.. When all else fails, they don't .. evil never looked so good ..

Kids who grew up in the 70-80s definitely familiar with the G.I Joe comic and animation, the real American Hero. Of course I know the animation from my brother. Growing up with an older brother, you'd definitely know all those cartoons and comic book superhero even if you don't really follow or read the comic.

The G.I. Joe created by Marvel comic is a team composed primarily of US Army personnel but is supplemented by representatives from other branches of the United States Armed Forces, namely the Marine, Air Force and Navy. Members are called from the best of their recruits. Each member brings to the team their own specialty.

So anyway, I wasn't planning to watch 'cos the title itself freaks me out. Cobra?! No way!! But lots of my friends said the movie is good, so last night .. last minute decision, I went with 2 friends. There is no way I'm watching this movie alone. Yes, there was an actual Cobra Snake in there, though it was only for few seconds. I shut my eyes when it appeared ... *I have goosebumps just writing this* :D

Overall, the movie was awesome .. again when I say awesome, of course there is no specific storyline, just purely entertainment .. but the action was great. Film-making still fascinates me .. Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Michael Bay are the master-mind behind awesome movies with amazing visual and technic.

And the bonus, playing as Captain Duke Hauser - Channing Tatum was hot. Didn't know who he was, apparently he played in Step Up and Step 2. Well .. not bad! :D

The movie was supported by some famous actors too such as Dennis Quaid as Captain Clayton, Marlon Wayans as Ripcord, Sienna Miller as Baroness Ana, Rachel Nichols as Scarlett, Joseph-Gordon Levitt as Rex, Jonathan Pryce as the president of USA, and surprisingly seeing this Korean actor, Lee Byung Hun as Storm Shadow.

Fly me to Singapore

In exactly 2 weeks time I'll be flying to Singapore after 2 years of absent .. yes, I like holidaying in Singapore. Everything is so decent and two things I love the most are the airport and transportation, it feels like overseas. Though it is overseas, but I mean it's just 1 hour away, it feels so different. Everytime I step my foot at Changi, I feel hype, the atmosphere is good and I know I'm gonna have a good time. Though I must admit, things ain't cheap there, but I'm not planning to shop for anything anyway .. I just need a break away from this routine and hectic life.

This trip basically has numerous plans and reasons .. and this will be my first overseas concert I attend other than Lee Hom. I will be attending my first MayDay Concert in SG with my gal pal bloodbubble .. ^^

Initially I wasn't planning to, but the time is just right. I'm planning to go to Singapore anyway, so why don't I just make the best out of it. Couple of friends are moving forward to their next step in life and they want me to be part of it. Sadly I couldn't be there for the actual event, so I settle for the pre-event instead .. :D Should be fun seeing them all again.

Everything is set pretty much .. just need to rundown couple of things to do and buy before going off.

And this ticket awaits me .. I can't wait!!

DVD Wish List

Aside from FRIENDS DVD boxset which cost USD155.49 (the price has been reduced in Amazon), this sets have just been added to my DVD wish list few weeks ago when I started get over heels with One Tree Hill, with whopping total price of USD144.99 for complete 6 seasons. 6th season will be released 25 Aug 2009. But sadly, so far, Amazon hasn't provided boxset for the whole 6 seasons, 'cos there will be more seasons coming up ..

But the individual pack is really nice .. I'm planning on getting one by one, starting with this one, Season 4. Why? Because season 4 is the cheapest amongst the other plus there are lots of baskeball games in this season with Tree Hill Ravens winning the State Championship, Lucas and Nathan finally become brothers and the gangs graduating from high-school. Lots of dramas and good stories in season 4.

I've drained my savings bad enough with LH's collections .. plus this? Gosh, how and when am I gonna recover?

Formula 1 - Singapore 2009

Second Night Race Formula 1 in Singapore will be held again on 25-27 September 2009 .. and this came to the mail today. Nice huh?

These aren't mine .. there are my friend's who is going for her 2nd time to see her fave Kimi Raikkonen in action. I'm not a big fan of racing, though I like one of the drivers -- Jenson Button from Brawn GP team, who is currently on 1st Rank. I normally just watch the first and last 5 laps of the race just to see who wins it. Hopefully he'll win this night race.

Cute Music-Man Figurines

The news is finally out .. Music-Man DVD will be released on 28 Aug 2009 .. it's about time. It's been almost a year since the MM set out in Taipei - Sept 2008.

The above figurines are the bonus we will be getting if we get the DVD .. just 1. I wish it'd be all 6, but how much that's gonna cost .. so anyway if I guess it correctly, the figurines are limited to 3000 pieces. We can get it for RMB70 each or RMB400 for the whole set, if we don't get the DVD.

I want No. 2, 4 and 5 .. I wonder where can I get this in hand .. help! :)

Oh what's more exciting is the fan who design this cartoon .. not only LH put her work into one of the MM tour merchandise, now this .. I'll pass out if that happens to me :D Well done Vivian ..

Kate Voelege

One Tree Hill is a very musical series .. the series featured numerous singers/bands including Michelle Branch, Fall Out Boy, Sheryl Crow to know a few.

The last 2 seasons, OTH introduced new character name Mia Catalano who played by Kate Voelege and her songs played in the series were good. So I looked her up on Amazon, and she has produced 2 albums and they turn out quite nice. I'm thinking on getting the album.

Few of my faves which are featured in OTH are Forever & Almost Always, Sweet Silver Lining and her debut song No Good. I have filled up my ipod with couple of her songs today ^^

OTH itself has 3 Original Soundtracks released with Gavin DeGraw singing I Don't Want To Be as the opening song. And last night I watched the DVD bonus, OTH actually has music tour apart for the series promo. And this album are the compilations of the road tour that the casts have featuring few singers including Bethany Joy Lenz who played Haley James in the series.

Music-Man in Greater China

For fans in China, Lee Hom isn't MIA .. but for us .. the overseas fans, he is indeed MIA. Where about is he right now? No idea .. I figure he is currently preparing his new album, it's been almost a year since Heart.Beat was released back in Dec 2008.

This was the latest pic posted at wlh.com taken on 26 Jul 2009 .. this should be somewhere in China ..

Anyway, after finishing his Heart.Beat - WaHaHa events in various cities in China for over a month in June, he's now scheduled back for his Music-Man concert tour starting this month.

I don't remember he hold his concert tour in China other than Beijing, Shanghai and GuangZhou .. well done LH, not only you has internationally recognized, you are now also known to your deeper root.
