Dear John

"This movie tells the story of John Tyree (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave, and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he falls in love with during her spring vacation. Over the next seven tumultuous years, the couple is separated by Johns increasingly dangerous deployments. While meeting only sporadically, they stay in touch by sending a continuous stream of love letters overseas--correspondence that eventually triggers fateful consequences".Quoted from Hollywoodstreams on youtube

I love this movie .. other that 'cos of Channing Tatum, of course, (GOSH, he's HOT) but Nicholas Sparks, the writer, has never failed in delivering good, romantic, meaningful and touching stories. Dear John was adapted from a book and the writer has successfully bringing few of his books to the big screen, such Message in a Bottle, Nights at Rodanthe, The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, Horse's Whisperer and another coming soon movie The Last Song with Miley Cyrus as the main actress. Amazing!

If you're looking for something tear breaker movie and kinda touch your feeling, this is the movie. It's simple love story but it really hit you .. so enjoy my fellow moviegoers. This is definitely worth it and I definitely getting the book.

When in Rome

Movie List 2010 keeps on and on .. this one looks funny and Josh Duhmel, damn! You're HOT man!!

First Bollywood Movie

Last week a friend asked me to watch 3 idiots - Indian movie which reviewed to be very funny and pretty good. It also said to be the "highest grossing Bollywood movie of all time" I was reluctant at first, but coming from an American guy, I was really curious myself. This is my first Bollywood Movie ever watch .. I heard about quite a lot Bollywood movies with good stories and great actors, but no offense, I just couldn't stand the singing and dancing.

So out of curiousity, 7 of us watched this 3 hours long movie .. and it was really good. I then talked into couple of colleagues in watching it and they all love it too. There were dancing and singing, I suppose it's a package deal with the whole movie, but the story was really good. There were lots of funny scenes but there were also lots of touching moments and full of lesson in life .. motto in life "aal izz well" -- of course it means All Is Well!!

And surprisingly the songs are catchy and acceptable to my ear, in fact I'm getting addicted to one of the songs .. hear for yourself. You might like it, you might not .. but so far it stucks in my head .. and this actually the complete scenes of the movie.

Soothing Expression

I love his expression here .. he looks so normal with his hair down without any gel what-so ever and wearing normal clothes doing what he loves best -- music. This LH's look that I like when he takes off all his artist attribute and being a normal New Yorker homie .. this is indeed a rare moment to be captured.

Missing the Scott's Boys

I've lost track of One Tree Hill Season 7 .. it is now has reached to Episode 17, I stopped watching on youtube on Episode 7. Sad thing is that youtube only keeps per episode within 24 hours after it aired on TV. I guess I have to wait 'till the DVD is out ..

I miss Nathan and Jamie .. I miss Lucas too but he's not in Season 7. I miss the Scott's :(

My cousin's dog .. he's so smart and well-trained. And his eyes are so big. He's a fun dog to play with, he doesn't bark much but he is very jumpy ..

Yes, his name is Hershey .. like the chocolate :D

Stay Real and Snoopy

Stay Real is releasing new design with Snoopy all around .. so cute!! But I have too many tee already, must stop buying for the time being, at least 'till I get rid off and clear out my wardrobe.

And if only Stay Real reduce its price .. they have cool design and suggestion from my gal pal than the jeans is really nice, I wanna try the suspender jeans .. nice isn't it?! But the price ain't nice! Ashin, be nice!

Valentine's Day

This year Valentine's Day falls on the same day as Chinese New Year, which is a Sunday, which means no public holiday for us .. shoot!! But anyway, I'll be taking 2 days off for some Jakarta touring with bunch of friends.

But what I'm looking forward for Valentine's Day is this movie .. and also Lee Hom & Jackie Chan's new movie 大兵小將 -- whenever that is, still now news 'till now. Normally Jackie's movie will come out quite fast, don't know about this one.

Anyway, this Valentine's Day movie simply follows the intertwining storylines of a group of Los Angelinos as they find their way through romance over the course of one Valentine's Day, with heaps of major Hollywood Actors and actress such as Jessica Alba, Kathy Bates, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Hector Elizondo, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Anne Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher, Queen Latifah, Taylor Lautner, George Lopez, Shirley MacLaine, Emma Roberts, Julia Roberts, Taylor Swift.

Some of the actors and actress are my fave .. so yes, I'm so looking forward for this. And there are quite good movies this year .. YAY!! :D

Here is the trailer if interested

Busy Musicman

Lee Hom has been extremely busy with his movie promotion, directing his own movie and preparing new album .. not to mention he's still continuing his Musicman tour in China. He had his last MM concert in Quanzhou, Fujian which supposed to be last year November, but moved back to last weekend - 7 Feb 2010.

No doubt he has been spreading his wings in Greater China .. before his concert in Fujian, he attended Little Big Soldier 大兵小將 in Beijing with Jackie Chan on 3 Feb then made appearance at the Beijing Pop Music Ceremony on 5 Feb and swapped 5 awards that night.

He won

1. 年度最佳作曲獎 (春雨裏洗過的太陽) Composer of the Year for Spring Rain Washed the Sun
2. 年度最大制作人大獎 (心跳) Best Producer of the Year for Heart.Beat
3. 年度金曲獎 (春雨裏洗過的太陽) Song of the Year Award for Spring Rain Washed the Sun
4. 年度全能藝人大獎 Artist of the Year
5. 年度最受歡迎男歌手 Favorite Male Singer

Go homie!! You're still my No. 1 hero!!

Tear-breaker movie

Synopsis

This heartwarming true story is an American adaptation of a Japanese tale about a loyal dog named Hachiko. This very special friend would accompany his master to the train station every day and return each afternoon to greet him after work. Sadly his master departs one day, passes away and never returns to the station. Hachiko faithfully returns to the same spot at the station the very next day, and every day for the next nine years to wait for his beloved master. During his daily visits, Hachiko touches the lives of many who work near and commute through the town square. He teaches the local people love, compassion and above all unyielding loyalty. Today, a bronze statue of Hachiko sits in his waiting spot outside the Shibuya station in Japan as a permanent reminder of his devotion and love.

Personal note.

I'm still in-deciding whether to watch this movie or not, 'cos like Marley & Me this is movie is gonna be tear-breaker movie .. worse than Marley & Me for sure. Even by reading the synopsis plus knowing the true story, I already started to cry. So if I decided to watch this movie, I have to get ready with lots of tissue or even a bucket and baggy eyes when I come out.

I love dogs but the reason why I don't own dogs, other than I don't have the place to have it, I can't bear the feeling when I lose it .. dogs and their owner have a very strong emotional connection, so rather than experiencing those feeling over and over, I choose not to own one. Luckily my fave dog is Golden Retriever, which is quite a pity to own it in the tropical country like Indo ..

Home office

This looks so comfy .. wearing your room slippers, pyjamas with glass of coffee and sitting in front of you computer at home. Working from home sounds so drooling for me right now, well not so much of working .. but perhaps the thought of having home office sounds so appealing :D

I-Pad anyone?

Apple new gadget .. the next generation of I-Phone, but there hasn't been quite a good review on this product, so we'll see.

I still prefer I-Phone though, this I-Pad is too squarish. Yeah, as if I have the budget to own this thing LOL.

Bandung Outing

Our TM Group went for yearly outing in Bandung on Saturday, 30 Jan 2010 .. thanks to beautiful day and nice weather, we managed to get to Rumah Stroberi for some strawberry picking.

Strawberries and more strawberries .. sweet!!

After strawberry picking, growling stomach ready to be filled. We went to Sapu Lidi for some Sundanese food, delicious and cheap. The place was alright, it could look nicer if they clean up a bit, it was rather dirty, but overal it was alright.

The hut is the dining table .. the size is depending on how big is the table. So one party will accommodate one hut. It's really traditional ...

And finally the food ... yummmooooo!!
