Set Your Music Free ..

Lee Hom made a stop in SG last week to promote this new SE phone W705 with SingTel .. the first 30 buyers would get the chance to take private pic with him and the phone will be autographed by him.

Well, the phone looks fancy, it comes in 2 colours, dark wine red or this shiny silver, 3G and it has Wi-Fi .. so it's a choice. But too bad it's a sliding one, not my fave .. don't ask me why, I just don't like it. I prefer clamshell. Well, maybe I might be able to like it :D
And yes, I'm not in trend of Blackberry and I-phone, though I wish I could afford I-phone. But no, I prefer old-fashioned phone model better.
My current phone has been playing bad on me .. last weekend, other than the provider went blank, my phone went blank too. So yes I had a quiet weekend. I had to dis-attach the battery and reset the phone in order for it to work. And it keeps hanging on me lately, specially when I'm texting and there is an incoming call., I pressed the YES button, nothing .. so I have to wait for it to connect to the internal phone connection.
Ling's friend managed to snap 1 out of 30 phones available to be signed by Lee Hom. Here is hers .. Hmm, if only I residing in SG, I would definitely get the phone. What more can you ask, get an autographed new phone and take pic with your idol .. but I wonder how can I use the phone without the autograph get smudged? Change the casing? But I don't think SE phone has re-placeable casing like Nokia. Or plastic covered it?

4 days counting down

It has been a long waiting .. I've finalize everything about 2 months earlier, except hotel which I just received the voucher last week.

And now I'm all set to go .. I can't wait for my holiday, can't wait to see the Msian girls and hope course I'm so looking forward to see the MM himself! Heard this might be the last MM tour, he's gonna make the best out of it.
I miss him dearly .. it's been 7 months since the last time I saw him. The ticket look nice too :D

Now, I have 4 days to settle my works though it seems that works have been pretty easy on me. I just need to finalise few things and submit my monthly works and I'm so ready to go .. without any guilty feeling!

KL, see you soon!

Movie Lists

I have rather slow time at work today, I finished most of the major works for the time being .. so I'm listing movies that I wanna and have to watch. I'm currently back into movie freak, after finishing the 4 thick books of the Twilight Saga, I haven't really read anything, except light story books. I'll be back soon.

The IT guy just gave me my new 17 inch flat monitor .. I was asked to use 2 monitors but I turned that down. I have enough trouble with 1 monitor, why would I need 2? Thanks but no thanks ..

So anyway .. from the 2009 movie list forwarded along by a friend .. Bride Wars, Knowing, Dragon Ball Evolution, Confessions of a Shopaholic and Fast and Furious 4 have nicely covered and so far they were pretty good. Fast Furious in particular was AWESOME.

The list continues ..
- Angels and Demons
- Race to Witch Mountain
- The International -- this will be released tomorrow
- Monster vs Aliens -- gonna watch this tomorrow on 3D screen :)
- X-Men Origins: Wolverine -- hope to catch this in KL
- Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian
- Transformer 2: Revenge of the Fallen
- Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
- Street Fighter: The legend of Chun-Li
- He's not that into You -- supposed to be out, but no news 'till now

What's next?!

Twilight Saga: New Moon -- expected to be released 2010. Shoot, so long!

General Election

Our General Election was held on 9 April 2009, one day before Good Friday - crucial ceremony for Christians. It was raised lots of cons but yet the government didn't seem to care to postpone it. But good thing was that 9 April was declared Public Holiday, so we had long weekend.

General Election held every 5 years, it was started with 3 parties and now we have 42 parties fighting for seats in parliament. It was madness, the campaign period was massive with different colours and confusing attributes promoting themselves, I had no idea who or which to vote .. I just follow my nose.

The election paper used to be as big as half A4 paper with 3 parties logo printed on it, now with 42 parties plus names and pictures of each party representatives, 1 paper was even bigger than LH's Music-Man concert poster, where we received 3 sheets. It was already too difficult to just open the paper in the small "private" space. When I was "IN" there, one of my neighbours said "Vote wisely, it is more difficult than any exams" LOL!!

This would be my fourth election, we have to be 17 years to have the rights to vote. My first election was back in high school, 2nd one when I was in Australia .. where bunch of Indo students in my dorm went into friend's room and we voted together, 3rd and 4th were here. Well, since I'm so not into political stuffs, I didn't really excited in all those elections I've been -- beside I didn't know anything about those parties though whoever I voted, I really hope he/she can brings changes for the best to this country. But after 4 elections I participated, sadly I have lost hope with this country.

Next election will be Presidential Election in July .. who will it be? Let's wait and find out then.

I managed to snap couple of pics during the election.

-the small box space supposed to give privacy -- so not!-

- the election paper -- we received 3 sheets of this paper size -

- proof that I've used my rights to vote. Sigh, why it has to be purple? -

Earth Hour

EARTH HOUR -- This environmental event was started in Sydney, Australia in 2007, Earth Hour quickly grew into a global observance. More than 1,000 cities in over 80 countries observed Earth Hour 2009 on Saturday March 28th, as homes, office towers and landmarks turned off their lights for an hour starting at 8.30 pm local time to raise awareness about climate change and the threat from rising greenhouse gas emissions.

I also joined this Earth Hour myself .. sitting in the dark for 1 hour with stillness and listening to the wind blows, it was very peaceful. Though, thoughout my neighbourhood, my house was the only one that stood in the dark, while the others didn't seem to care. It sad how ignorance people can be, it's just for 1 hour .. how hard could it be? But oh well, one is better than nothing at all. 改變世界 改變自己!!

Australia was the first country to go through with the Earth Hour, this is what we saw at the Sydney Opera House

The famous Beijing Olympic's Landmark - Bird Nest and Water Cube

I wish this event can be a monthly instead of yearly .. people should be more aware of what's happening around the world. The world is no longer in safe condition, so smallest action will help to save the world.
So everyone .. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. You can save the world!

KDRT Victim

These last few weeks the weather has been amazingly crazy, if it was blazing hot in the morning throughout noon, it'd be pouring with heavy wind in the afternoon throughout the night and it definitely lower down our immune system. How strong a person is, you'll collapse eventually.

So yupe, including me .. I didn't feel so fit these last few days, caught in the rain few times, many late nights and high load of works. So this is the result for all the bad weather .. I have this scratch all over my body. Kerokan is always good to get rid of the air in your body to prevent our body from collapsing completely.

I call these scratches KDRT (Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga) or known as Domestic Violance :)
My body feels so light right now ..
