Michael Jackson - This is It

I heard news about this movie but I wasn't planning to watch it until yesterday when it was released ... I wanna see what the fuss about. And I'm glad I did, it was awesome. I think I got multiple goosebumps throughout the movie. It felt like watching the real concert on VIP seat .. it felt like he was still alive. It felt like we are all still waiting for the concert to actually happen.

It was the first movie I ever watched that all the audiences were singing along and clapping as if it was the real concert.

I was never MJ's fan, though I grew up listening to his songs like Beat It, Billie Jean, Thriller, Black or White, Earth Song, Man in the Mirror and long time fave Heal the World and many more. Honestly I don't own any of his CDs but I like lots of his song and I always admire his works and how he really care about the world. And Neverland ... still amazed me!

His sudden death last June, just moments away from his Final Curtain Call concert in title of "THIS IS IT" in London after 10 years absentee took the world by surprise. His adoring fans were devastated, the world seemed to stop all of sudden. There are also lots of "new sudden" fans. No one wanted to believe the news but yet it was true. The King of Pop has gone.

This is it basically tells us about the journey of the concert preparations. Countless hours of rehearsal of dancing, singing, visual effect to make 13 July perfect. It would have been one hell of concert if it happened. The rehearsal itself was already amazing .. he took part on every details made for the concert and he of course know everything about his works, so if one musician made some improvisation which doesn't suit him, he'll know immediately.

This movie also tells us the other side of MJ. All this while, we, the fans and audiences can only see the outcome of his works, Michael Jackson the superstar -- but we never actually see the preparations, what MJ liked in his normal days. These footage were meant for MJ's personal library - but in remembering what a great artist he was, Kenny Ortega - the director and MJ's best friend for many years decided to take these as something to remember MJ by. The movie will only be aired for 2 weeks around the world.

My opinion after watching this movie is .. MJ is just another human being who wanted to share what he loves best to the world, to his loving fans. He was a humble musician who didn't like to be praised. Everything he did was simply out of love and for love ..

I may not be fan then and I may not be fan now .. but no doubt MJ was .. is .. still the biggest influence in the world of music. It was totally an honor and priviledge for those who were able to be part of MJ's life and music journey.

MJ, you may be gone too soon but your spirit carries on ..

Amazing Aerial Photos

Click here to see more amazing and incredible photos.

I guess I have always fascinated with amazing and beautiful photos, scenic photos have always been my fave since I took photography class back in high school, perhaps that was one of the reasons I took it too -- plus my dad was a photographer graduated from Germany. But I've never further pursued it 'cos I wasn't patience and creative enough to capture those beautiful things and the equipments are so expensive. So I just settled with enjoying those amazing photos.

Product and model photos don't impress me much .. live events (no blood, reptile, accident what-soever involved though) and specially scenery like those pics above are the ones which take my breath away.

Do I need to say more?! Just simply amazing!

Save the Planet

Natural disasters have been occuring all around the world - countless earthquakes, typhoon, flood .. they are simply sign of Earth is getting tired and old.

Mother Earth is angry for not being taken care .. so people please love our earth more and show some respect to it. If we won't do it, who would?! Please take care of it ..

Starbucks has been continously support the environmental in giving out discount for those who bring their own tumbler/mug when they purchase their drinks. I hope it's not only because of the discount, but because their own self awareness in making a changes for the world.

Sorting, Packing, Sending ..

Finally, after over 1 month since it was released, 53 Music-Man DVDs arrived at my office. Huge box which can't even fit in Lia's CRV, we had to unpack the content and load them separately into her car.

This is what 53 DVDs look like ..

Sorting out is the worst part. We have to be careful who order which and which send to where. I missed calculation few times .. thanks to the small post-it, everything is nicely settled.

It took about 2 hours plus, 4 people ... so finally 37 packs were ready to be sent away.

And to add my collections, my MM figurines also come in the huge box

I Fall All Over Again ..

I have no words to describe this person .. MM, I miss you badly!

World's Batik Day

2 October 2009 -- UNESCO has officially name Batik, as Indonesia's cultural heritage. This was given by representatives from 114 countries who gathered at UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Heritage, which is currently holding its fourth session in Abu Dhabi.

Today, the street of Jakarta and all over Indonesia was 'invaded' by Batik .. the sale of Batik increased by at least 20%, even I bought my first Batik blouse ever :D

Indonesia and Malaysia have been in battle in proofing who owns it, well Indo has won the battle .. Congrats and let's appreciate it more.

Goggle V

So kids who grew up in the 80s, who doesn't know Goggle V? They are one of the first non-cartoon heroes, the root of Power Rangers .. I like this series a lot when I was kid, I thought they were pretty cool .. :D Though eventually I outgrew it, but they were part of my growing up time.
