I (Finally) went to Singapore

Well .. you know what people said that you haven't been to Singapore if you haven't visited the Merlion .. so yes, after my countless visits, I "finally" went to Singapore ..

I spent most of my times in SG alone this time .. I took my time to browse one place and move to another when I had enough, it's good to really enjoy your alone time like that.

So on Sunday, I went to take Singapore River Cruise with my childhood friend - Tep ... I got 3 free tickets from Lia (thanks De) .. night cruise is always better with the beautiful lights and under the stars. It'd be romantic with a guy we love of course, but since that hasn't been accomplished yet, nothing better to spend it with your best friend right?

Other than the Merlion and Esplanade, we went pass this gorgeous hotel .. The Fullerton Hotel which used to be a post office in those British era. Wonder how much to stay there a nite ..

Bad Timing

4 days before the trip I was looking forward to for the pass 2 months, I got attacked by germ .. food poisoning, stomach flu, whatever you name it .. I literally lost almost all of my internal fluid within 2 days. What a good timing indeed ..

Was it stress? Or simply I ate something wrong that I didn't even notice? I really have no idea! I thought I've been living easy life this past week for the trip. Sigh sigh sigh!!!

I was lying in bed, thinking ... maybe I'll just skip the concert indeed if I didn't get better. Maybe I'll ask Ling to find whoever who wants to see the concert. But then again, I have to be optimist that I'll be better by Friday. Man, I paid quite a lot for the concert .. so please help me God, I'll get better by Friday ..

1 week to go .. I'll be celebrating MayDay's 10 Anniversary Concert in Singapore .. yay! Heard the news that the concert will go on 'till midnight with Stefanie Sun as the guest star. So looking forward for this .. YAY!!

G.I Joe - The Rise of the Cobra

.. When all else fails, they don't .. evil never looked so good ..

Kids who grew up in the 70-80s definitely familiar with the G.I Joe comic and animation, the real American Hero. Of course I know the animation from my brother. Growing up with an older brother, you'd definitely know all those cartoons and comic book superhero even if you don't really follow or read the comic.

The G.I. Joe created by Marvel comic is a team composed primarily of US Army personnel but is supplemented by representatives from other branches of the United States Armed Forces, namely the Marine, Air Force and Navy. Members are called from the best of their recruits. Each member brings to the team their own specialty.

So anyway, I wasn't planning to watch 'cos the title itself freaks me out. Cobra?! No way!! But lots of my friends said the movie is good, so last night .. last minute decision, I went with 2 friends. There is no way I'm watching this movie alone. Yes, there was an actual Cobra Snake in there, though it was only for few seconds. I shut my eyes when it appeared ... *I have goosebumps just writing this* :D

Overall, the movie was awesome .. again when I say awesome, of course there is no specific storyline, just purely entertainment .. but the action was great. Film-making still fascinates me .. Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Michael Bay are the master-mind behind awesome movies with amazing visual and technic.

And the bonus, playing as Captain Duke Hauser - Channing Tatum was hot. Didn't know who he was, apparently he played in Step Up and Step 2. Well .. not bad! :D

The movie was supported by some famous actors too such as Dennis Quaid as Captain Clayton, Marlon Wayans as Ripcord, Sienna Miller as Baroness Ana, Rachel Nichols as Scarlett, Joseph-Gordon Levitt as Rex, Jonathan Pryce as the president of USA, and surprisingly seeing this Korean actor, Lee Byung Hun as Storm Shadow.

Fly me to Singapore

In exactly 2 weeks time I'll be flying to Singapore after 2 years of absent .. yes, I like holidaying in Singapore. Everything is so decent and two things I love the most are the airport and transportation, it feels like overseas. Though it is overseas, but I mean it's just 1 hour away, it feels so different. Everytime I step my foot at Changi, I feel hype, the atmosphere is good and I know I'm gonna have a good time. Though I must admit, things ain't cheap there, but I'm not planning to shop for anything anyway .. I just need a break away from this routine and hectic life.

This trip basically has numerous plans and reasons .. and this will be my first overseas concert I attend other than Lee Hom. I will be attending my first MayDay Concert in SG with my gal pal bloodbubble .. ^^

Initially I wasn't planning to, but the time is just right. I'm planning to go to Singapore anyway, so why don't I just make the best out of it. Couple of friends are moving forward to their next step in life and they want me to be part of it. Sadly I couldn't be there for the actual event, so I settle for the pre-event instead .. :D Should be fun seeing them all again.

Everything is set pretty much .. just need to rundown couple of things to do and buy before going off.

And this ticket awaits me .. I can't wait!!
